Here is a Spider man Cake that I made for a co-worker of Matt's. It is her son's third birthday.

Nook's New Sweater

Olivia saved up to buy a new sweater for Nanook. Since the weather will be turning cold soon, she thought that he needed something to keep him warm while he goes out to do his business. He sure is a handsome little feller, don't ya' think?

Home School Field Trip

On Wednesday, the kids and I went with the homeschool group to a small town southeast of us called Soda Springs. We saw a "Man-made" lava flow. They pour hot phosphorus down the side of a mountain and for about 30 seconds you can see the red-hot glow like lava. It was pretty cool. Then we saw the headwater of a spring. It was called, "Hooper Spring." We learned about the water cycle. From there we saw the only captive geyser in the world. This geyser was discovered in 1937. It flowed continually until the Secretary of the Interior at the time wrote a note to the mayor of Soda Springs and told him that he better figure out a way to cap it b/c the people in Yellowstone were complaining that the force was taking the "Umph" out of their geysers! So, they capped and have it on a timer so it releases the pressure once every hour. It was a really neat field trip.
